▶What is Capitol Keys?
Capitol Keys is an upscale, invite-only networking experience in Austin, TX hosted by Jesse Island & Matt Teifke. We host speakeasy-style events where professionals connect through interactive challenges and curated social activities.
▶How do I get invited?
You can request entry through our registration page. Events are invite-only, so your request will be reviewed by our team.
▶Is there a cost to attend?
Free to attend — Thank you Group Experts! Your first drink and food are on us. Additional drinks can be earned by completing challenges or purchased at the bar.
▶What should I wear?
Formal attire requested. Your Hawaiian shirt and favorite tee can sit this one out. 🏝️
▶What are the challenges?
Each event features a unique set of interactive challenges. Completing them unlocks drinks, rewards, and prizes.
▶What is the code word?
Every event has a secret code word. Each challenge you complete reveals one letter. Piece them all together to crack the code and prove you worked the room.
▶How do rewards work?
Complete challenges to earn rewards. Two challenges earns a second drink, and completing all of them unlocks the Capitol Key — our mark of a true closer — plus an auto-invite to the next event.
▶What is the Capitol Key?
The Capitol Key is the top reward earned by completing all challenges at an event. It marks you as someone who showed up, engaged, and closed the deal. Key holders are recognized at future events.
▶How does the QR card work?
When you check in, you get a digital QR card. Other attendees scan your card (or you scan theirs) to instantly connect. You control what info is shared — email, phone, LinkedIn — through your privacy settings.
▶Can I control what information other people see?
Yes. Your profile has privacy toggles for email, phone, and LinkedIn. Only the fields you enable are visible to connections. You can change these at any time on your profile page.
▶Do I need to download an app?
No app download required. Capitol Keys runs entirely in your mobile browser. You can add it to your home screen for an app-like experience, but it's not required.
▶Where are events held?
Events take place at curated venues across Austin. The specific location is shared with confirmed guests before each event.
▶How do I reset my password?
Visit the login page, switch to password mode, and click "Forgot password?" to receive a reset link via email.
