Capitol Keys ("we", "us", "our") operates a networking event platform. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
When you register for or attend an event, we may collect:
The Capitol Keys app for iPhone and Android uses your camera only to scan QR codes and to take the photos you choose to add. Video is never recorded or uploaded. If you allow notifications, the app stores a push token for your device so we can send event notifications. The app does not read your address book, does not use your location, and has no ads or tracking.
Your profile information is shared with other event attendees only when you scan QR codes to connect. You control which contact details are visible to other attendees through the privacy toggles on your profile page (email, phone, social).
Capitol Keys events are hosted by sponsors we call Group Experts. If you check in at an event, your name, company, title, email, phone and social links are shared with that event’s Group Experts after the event so they can follow up with you. This is how the events are paid for, and it applies to everyone who attends.
The privacy toggles on your profile control what other attendees can see. They do not restrict what is shared with an event’s Group Experts.
If you register and do not attend, only your name is shared. If you would rather your details were not passed to sponsors, do not check in, or contact us at grow@naloseed.com and we will remove you from that event’s reporting.
Our public pages, such as the homepage, events, registration and sponsor pages, use Google Analytics to measure visits. It records which of those pages were viewed and when a registration is submitted, not who you are. Page addresses are sent without any extra details on the end, and Google never receives your name, email, phone number or account. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off.
The event app you use after signing in, including your card, connections and check-in, does not use Google Analytics.
These service providers process your information for us, only to run the platform:
Event sponsors are different: they receive attendee details for their own follow-up, as described under Sharing With Event Sponsors. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.
We retain your account and event data for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time: here is how.
When we delete an account we keep a record of the texts and emails we sent and of your consent to receive texts, where the law asks us to keep it. Details already shared with an event's Group Experts, or saved by people you connected with, are held by them and are outside our control.

By providing your phone number and opting in during event registration, you consent to receive event-related text messages from Capitol Keys, operated by Nalo Seed LLC. These messages may include event reminders, venue details, check-in links, and post-event follow-ups.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of registration or attendance. The text opt-in box starts unticked, and you can register without ticking it. Some texts are sent only because you asked for them, such as a sign-in link or a verification code.
Capitol Keys is a professional networking event for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
